Clair Abel Obituary

Clair M. Abel, 58, of Peoria passed away at 2:45am Sunday, June 16, 2013 at Flanagan Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.

She was born on December 20, 1954 in Peoria the daughter of Loren T. and Lucille M. Wilkie Crawford Sr. She married Donald Abel in 1975.

Surviving are two children Christopher Abel of Oregon and Shirley Abel of Manito as well as seven grandchildren. Also surviving is one brother Loren T. (Cindy) Crawford of Peoria Heights and two sisters Lea Ann Crawford of Peoria and Bonnie (Ken) Bakin of Peoria Heights.

She was a 1971 graduate of Peoria Heights High School and later earned her LPN and RN certificates from ICC. She specialized in geriatric nursing working at many senior homes in central Illinois. She was a very generous person and was always willing to help those in need. She will be greatly missed by all.

Cremation rites have been accorded. The family will receive friends at Loren and Cindy's home; 626 E Marietta Ave in Peoria Heights on Thursday June 20th from 2pm until 5pm to celebrate Clair's life. Memorials in her name may be given to any Hospice organization.
