Connie Pumphrey

Connie L. Pumphrey, 74, of Peoria, IL passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2019, at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria, IL after surrendering her battle with multiple myeloma cancer.

She was born in Bloomington, IL on December 13, 1944. The daughter of James and Betty McCanoe Hisle.  She lived most of her life in Illinois then moved to enjoy life surrounded by great friends in Mississippi for the last several years. 

She married Eugene Pumphrey on September 3, 1998 in Peoria, IL and he passed away on June 6, 2009 in Peoria.   Her parents, one son infant Royal Spenard Jr., and one brother Jimmy Dean Hisle also preceded her in death. 

Surviving are children Jane K. Ittenbach, Lisa Ann Walker, Lori Lea (Michael) Sherrill, Daniel Allen (Kelly) Dietz, Tammy (Gary) Burger Tony Spenard Terry (Victoria) Spenard along with one brother Dan Hisle and niece Sarah Theis.  Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. 

A special thanks to Bill Oberg, Patricia McNair, Linda Murphy, and all her close beloved friends in Mississippi including her home church Walden Street Church in Corinth, MS. She will be missed by family and the many friends that she made along the way.

Cremation rites have been accorded.  A Memorial Service is scheduled for 2:00pm, Saturday August 31, 2019, at Waldron Street Christian Church, 702 E Waldron St. in Corinth, MS.
