Earl L. Doby

Earl Lee Doby, 70, of Peoria, IL departed from this world on December 3, 2019. He was born to Lucille Doby and LC Sturdivant on March 23, 1949 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

Earl was a hardworking mechanic and maintenance man. He had one son Marcus Williams by Theresa William's that he loved very much.  Later on in life he met and married Linda Fricks where they had 2 daughters Joy and Angel Doby. After the  divorce from Linda he met and married Mary Sue Ederington that he loved until his untimely death. He was a wonderful man and great friend to many. 

Earl is survived by his wife, Mary Sue Doby, his children, one son Marcus Williams, two daughters Joy (Clifford) Lewis, Angela Doby, one brother John (Tammy) Saunders, two sisters Mary Harrington, Fannie Massey, 10 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and family. His parents, four sisters, Clemetine Harrington,  Kathryn Harrington, Rosie Buchanan, and Loretta Saunders, two brothers, Edmund Harrington and Lawrence Harrington,  and two grandchildren Caleah and Shaelynn Lewis preceded him in death.

Cremation rites have been accorded.  A memorial service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 14, 2019, at Peoria Friendship Missionary Baptist Church.  There will be no visitation.  Memorials may be given to his church.  To share a memory or send a condolence for his family, visit www.masonfuneralhomes.com.
