Jerroll Meinders Obituary

Jerroll “Wayne” Meinders, 55, of Washburn, passed away at 9:52PM Wednesday, November 27, 2019, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

He was born October 6, 1964, in Peoria the son of Jerroll and Sandra Hurt Meinders. He married Terri D. Carter on December 7, 2013, in Las Vegas, NV.

Surviving are his wife; five children Michael P. Carter of LaRose, IL; Jerroll “Jerry” Meinders, Anthony Meinders William “Harley” Meinders and Dakota Meinders all of Washburn.  Also, surviving are his mother of Washburn, four grandchildren; Landon, Leena, Christopher and Keegan; two brothers Steve (Stacy) Meinders and Kenny Meinders all of Washburn; two sisters Angie (Chris) Clark of Washington and Deb (Jim) Albertson of Lowpoint.  His father preceded him in death.

Wayne loved his family.  He and his wife were members of the Twisted Breed Motorcycle Club in Canton.  As a member, he took great pride in being a brother and served as road captain.

Wayne loved being outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman, he enjoyed teaching his sons to enjoy the outdoors as much as he did.  Wayne spent many hours with his sons in his garage building mud bog trucks and demo cars which his family enjoyed attending together.

Wayne had a huge heart and was always willing to help anyone in need.  He loved watching the Chicago Bears with his many friends and family.  His grandchildren were very important to him, he made sure to include them in his love for the outdoors.

Cremation rites have been accorded.  A Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at the Twisted Breed Club House, 26428 E. Monterey Rd in rural Canton from 5:00pm until 11:00pm.  Additional Celebration of Life is currently being planned and will be announced at a later date.  To share a memory or send a condolence for his family, visit www.peoriafuneral.com.
