Jon Thomas

Jon Thomas, 64, of Peoria passed away at his residence, surrounded by his family at 4:20am, Sunday, September 15, 2019.

Jon was born on November 11, 1954 in Peoria the son of Robert and Kathryn Mitchell Thomas.  Surviving are his sons Jon Thomas II and Robert Thomas both of Cobb, CA and four grandchildren. Also surviving is his significant other Cindy Reliford whom he made his home with for many years; two step sons Mark (Stephanie) Reliford of Peoria Heights, IL; Adam (Candis) Reliford of Tremont and 9 step grandchildren. Further surviving are two sisters Jan (Tim) Craps and Kelly (Brent) Millinger both of Peoria,  along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.  His parents and one step son-Ron Reliford preceded him in death.

Remembering Jon's warm & unique way of loving everyone - from the famous "Have I told ya lately," to the well-known one handed style he would share on the pool table.  His humble character around the table brought focus & moved opponents from frustration to friendship over just a few games.  Friends and family alike knew Jon to be a self-inspired engineer and inventor of many concepts and products throughout his life.  His dreams and creativity flowed second only to his desire and ability to make those around him feel good.
