Joseph Armstrong Obituary

Joseph (Sonny) Armstrong, 79, of East Peoria passed away at 6:40pm Monday May 16, 2011 surrounded by his family.

Joe was born on May 19th 1931 in Peoria the son of Verna Sampson. He was married to Sylvia "Josie" Walker for over fifty years.

Surviving are daughters Candy (Glenn) Roberts, Rose Hills, Rhonda (Greg) Morris and Rochelle (Mike) Thompson and a niece he helped raise Sherry Walker. Also surviving are several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

His mother, and a great granddaughter Chelsie Nannie preceded him in death.

He was a member of laborers local 231 in Pekin, IL.

Cremation rites have been accorded and there will be no formals services per his wishes. Everyone is welcome to a celebration of life service scheduled for 3pm Saturday May 21st at Nikki's Bottom Dollar formerly Josie's Place 326 Cass St. East Peoria, IL.
