Karen Lynn Timcke, 76, of Eureka, formerly of Pontiac, IL passed away at 10:30pm, Friday, November 29, 2019, at the Loft Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Eureka.
She was born on January 24, 1943, in Pontiac, IL the daughter of Clinton and Viola (Heisner) McCormick. Clinton passed away when Karen was a young girl, Viola then married Raymond Orndorff and together they raised Karen.
Karen married Rodney Joe Ferguson in 1962. After the divorce of she and Joe, Karen later married Robert Timcke on July 7, 1984, and he passed away on October 7, 2013. Her parents and two brothers Terrance McCormick and Daniel Orndorff Sr. also preceded her in death.
Surviving are her children, Chris (Debbie) Ferguson Olathe, KS; Starr (Marty) Cox of Pontiac, IL and Kenna (Chris) Nau Bartonville, IL. Also, surviving are her grandchildren Raymond Ferguson of Okabena, MN; Justin (Anna) Smith of Olathe, KS; Dustin (Haleigh) Cox of Linn Creek, MO; Matthew (Megan) Cox of Washington, IL; Brittany Hoffman of Peoria Heights, IL; Karlie Diveley of Eureka, IL and Avery Nau of Morton, IL. 7 great grandchildren Jace Smith, Jory Smith, Adalyn Smith, Gabriel Green, Shawn Hoffman, Dean Hoffman, Jack Mason and Zaylen Ferrasta. Further, surviving is one brother Harold Orndorff of California.
She was a Licensed Practical Nurse and also a certified CPR Instructor. Karen was a member of Grace Episcopal Church in Pontiac. She always enjoyed a good cup of coffee, watching movies and keeping up with the news. Karen was very talented and had many hobbies, loved her clothes and jewelry. She loved her family and her grandchildren brought her much joy.
Cremation rites have been accorded and no public service is planned. In her memory, memorials may be given to the Wounded Warrior Project or to Tazewell Animal Protection Society (TAPS). To share a memory or send a condolence for her family, visit www.peoriafuneral.com.
