Kenneth Ray Malec, 70, passed away Saturday, January 5, 2019 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

He was born on March 20, 1948 at St. Mary’s Hospital in San Francisco, CA the son of Pete Paul and Irene Bernice Mickenes Malec Jr.

Surviving are one son Kenneth “Leon” Malec of Washburn; four grandchildren Amber McClary, Alyssa McClary, Jordan McClary and Carly McClary along with three great grandchildren and waiting on the arrival of two more. Further surviving are two brothers. His parents, as well as one daughter Teresa E. (Malec) McClary also preceded him in death.

Ken had been a resident at Aperion Care in Peoria Heights. He enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren and always found a way to make people smile and laugh. Ken will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.
