Vickie (McDaniel) Collier

Vickie R. Collier, 56, of Yates City, IL passed away at 2:35AM, Sunday, September 23, 2018 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

She was born September 26, 1961 in Peoria the daughter of the late J.E. and Elcie Goff McDaniel. She married Daniel Collier on December 5, 1992 at the Presbyterian Church in Yates City, IL.

Surviving are her husband Daniel, two sons James P. West II of Peoria and William Joseph (Bree Gifford) West of Pekin, IL.  Also surviving are 2 grandchildren Kayla West and Evelyn West; one brother Larry (Marti) McDaniel of Peoria, two sisters Rhonda McDaniel of Springfield, IL and Vivian McDaniel of Peoria, IL along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She worked at Peoria ERS for several years also working at Peoria Bible Methodist Church.  She previously owned and operated “Colliers Critters” and “Colliers Crafts” both in Elmwood. She loved her pets, especially Lacy & Bull. Vickie never knew a stranger and was known as “mom” to many and will be missed by all that knew her.

Cremation rites have been accorded.  A Celebration of Life Service is scheduled for 3:00PM Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Peoria Heights Congregational Church, 4906 N Prospect Rd in Peoria Heights.
