Alicia Booth

February 5, 1939 — July 30, 2025

Peoria, IL

Alicia (Lozano) Booth, 86, of Peoria, Illinois, passed peacefully into the arms of her Savior on July 30, 2025, at Liberty Village of Peoria. She was born on February 5, 1939, in McAllen, Texas, to Crisoforo and Virginia (Casas) Lozano. She married Robert Booth on November 23, 1963, in Newport News, Virginia. He survives.

Throughout her life, Alicia was committed to serving others. She demonstrated this in many ways. She served her country in the Army where she had hoped to travel and see the world, but only saw Virginia. After her honorable discharge from the Army, Alicia served her family as a homemaker. She enjoyed caring for her children and grandchildren, but she delighted in her great-grandchildren. She loved the Lord dearly and served Him at her church, Northwest United Methodist, in various capacities for decades. She also spent her years crafting in numerous ways. Alicia was an avid quilter, constantly creating beautiful things to wrap those around her in love. During winters down in Texas, Alicia volunteered at a quilting mission, providing quilts to those in need. Alicia also liked to experiment. She would often look for new recipes to try out with her family and friends. She cared deeply and sincerely for all those around her.

In addition to her husband, Alicia is survived by daughter Betty (Brian) Loyd of East Peoria, son Bryan (Tammy Greenhood) Booth of Redding, California, three grandchildren, Crystal (Andrew) Smith, Laura Loyd, and Kris (Crystal Madden) Booth, four great-grandchildren, Breena and Declan Smith and Aury and Amiah Booth, many members of her extended family, and even more friends.

Visitation will be at Northwest United Methodist Church of Peoria on Tuesday, August 12th, at 10am. A funeral service officiated by Pastor Melissa Engel will be held at 11am. A luncheon will follow the service. A private burial will be held at Swan Lake Memorial Gardens.
