Allen Lee Hulin

January 4, 1971 — September 26, 2020

Allen Lee Hulin, 49, of Peoria, IL passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2020.

He was born on January 4, 1971 in Peoria, IL to Lester Hulin and his loving mother Violet Elliott Crafton. They both preceded him in death.

Allen was married to Sherry Rice in 2006 and she survives. Also surviving are Robert (Michelle) Elliott of Tennessee, Angela Scott of Peoria, Patty Elliott of Peoria, Woodrow Crafton of Norwood, and Amanda and Laura Snider both of Peoria, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Allen had a special mentor in his life, Matt Weibel, who started Allen in his trade and cared for Allen deeply.

Allen was the owner and operator of Al's Lawn Care and More for 26 years. Al had a worth ethic that could be matched by few, even riding a bicycle from Peoria to Chillicothe to fulfill an obligation Al had promised.

Allen had his share of problems like most folks but to those who knew him well he had a heart of gold and a beautiful soul. He was a very generous man and has been known to help complete strangers. He had a zany sense of humor that was a bit over the top but he kept people laughing even during though times.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at PEACE Community Church, 1538 South Easton, Peoria.
