Arthur L. Sellers Jr.

Arthur L. Sellers Jr., 69, of East Peoria, passed away at 8:05 pm on Sunday, April 28, 2024, at his residence.

He was born on March 28, 1955, in Peoria, the son of Arthur and Marie Schwark Sr. He married JoAnn Brinker on August 28, 1987, in Peoria.

Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Julie A. Sellers and Heather A. Sellers, both of Peoria; two step-sons, Chris C. Graff, and Dewey C. Graff Jr., both of Creve Coeur. Also surviving is his father of East Peoria; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; one brother, Jerry Sellers of East Peoria; three sisters, Joanie Humphreys of Marquette Heights, IL, Sandy (Brad) Wheeler of Creve Coeur, and Angie (Jim) Markum of Pekin. He was preceded in death by his mother and one sister, Sherry Sellers.

Arthur's love for nature was unparalleled. He found solace in the tranquility of fishing, the thrill of hunting, and the freedom of riding motorcycles through the countryside. His skills at shooting pool were legendary among friends and family, and his laughter was a frequent and welcome sound during these spirited games.

Arthur's days were often brightened by the company of his neighbor's dog, whose visits were a source of immense joy and laughter. His love for animals was just one aspect of his kind and compassionate nature.

Above all, Arthur's greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren. Each moment was cherished, each memory a treasure. His enduring legacy of love for the outdoors and the profound importance of family will continue to live on through them.
