Ashley Michelle Collins

Ashley Michelle Collins, 45, of Peoria, IL, passed away at 9:39 AM on Monday, November 9, 2020. She died of coronavirus complications at Unity Point Health-Methodist in Peoria, IL, on her Grandma Teeny's birthday.

Her father, Gary Michael Collins, survives along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was predeceased by grandparents Alvin James and Pauline "Teeny" Collins, II. Her mother, Deana Jo Collins, survives along with Grandma Joyce Grubb, Aunt Susan Grubb, an uncle, aunts, and cousins. She was preceded in death by Grandpa Dean Grubb.

Ashley was born in Peoria, graduated from Peoria Central High School, I.C.C., and attended Western Illinois University. She found a career in customer service. Like most of us, her time off work counted the most. She enjoyed trips to Disney World and various army bases with family and other trips with her dad.  She was an avid reader; Dunlap Library always had a stack of books waiting for her and time to chat. Ashley loved her Abby cat and the other family cats and dogs. There was always music, country western, musicals and singing Christmas carols so we would remember the words for the next year. And last, she enjoyed her computer; games, trivia, posting with other game nuts, and Disney help sites. Ashley loved it when she could help you with what she enjoyed, too.
