Barbara J. Armstrong, 57, formerly of Taylorville, passed away on Wednesday, Sept 17, 2014 at the home of her sister in Bellevue, IL. She was born on March 18, 1957 in Pekin the daughter of the late DeWayne and Cleta I. Smallwood Blackstock Sr. Surviving are her children Donald (Thomasena) Lee of Spring Hill, KS; Kristina (James) Constable of Farmersville, IL; Curtis (Kelly) Lee of Springfield, IL; Shawna Armstrong of Farmersville, IL; Shannon B. Armstrong of Taylorville; Jess Armstrong of Bellevue; Zachary Armstrong of Girard, IL. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren. Further surviving are three brothers DeWayne (Valerie) Blackstock Jr. of Somerset, KY; Billy (TyLinda) Blackstock IL; Danny (Tina) Blackstock both of San Jose, IL: two sisters Carol Huggins of Dardanelle, AR; Alice (Kevin) Gallion of Bellevue, IL. Barbara was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister who enjoyed spending time with her family and many friends. Cremation rites have been accorded. A time to celebrate Barbara's life will be at a later date. Memorial in her name may be given American Diabetes Association or Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
