Barbara L Teegarden

Barbara L. Teegarden, 88, of Eureka passed away on the morning of July 23, 2013 at her son's home in Eureka. She was born on July 8, 1925 in Las Vegas, NM to Andrew and Georgianna Brydon Hansen. She married Dr. Homer Richard Teegarden on July 5, 1945. He passed away on Sept 25, 1998. She was also preceded in death by her twin sister Elizabeth Hill and one brother Edward Hansen. Surviving are three children, Suzy Hillard, Richard Lee (Susan) Teegarden and John Edward (Cynthia) Teegarden. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren as well as one brother Andrew (Margaret) Hansen. She lived her entire adult life in Eureka where her husband was a veterinarian. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend and had a special place in her heart for animals. Cremation rites have been accorded with a family celebration of Barbara's life to be held at a later date. Memorials in her name may be given to the Arthritis Foundation.
