B.D. Cooper

B.D. Cooper, 74, of Bartonville passed away and was called home by the Lord at 8:51 PM Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at his residence surrounded by his family. B.D. was born in Jamestown, TN on April 6, 1940 the son of Casto and Roxie Cooper. He married Jo Linda Fitzpatrick on January 26, 1962. She survives. He is also survived by his children, Sherry Doran of Peoria, Sandra (Barry) Burton of Trivoli, and Brian (Karen) Cooper of Washington; nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; two brothers, Paul Cooper and Danny Cooper of Bartonville; two sisters, Hallie Duvall of Clarksville, OH and Sue Huff of Jamestown, TN. B.D. was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, James and Randy Cooper. B.D. worked at Rohn Manufacturing Company for 33 years, retiring in 1999. He enjoyed many years fishing, especially in Kentucky, and story telling of the "good old days". He was baptized at Northwoods Community Church on August 25, 2013 along side of his son and his family. Cremation rites have been accorded and a time to celebrate his life will be held at American Legion Post at 4501 Airport Road in Bartonville on Sunday, August 17th from 12:00 to 5:00 PM. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
