Brant K. Simon

Brant K. Simon, 19, of East Peoria passed away unexpectedly early Saturday morning of January 12, 2013 with his family near. He was born on December 12, 1993 in Peoria the son of Danielle Bogie Tjarks. Surviving are his mother Danielle (Robert) Tjarks of Glasford, one sister Taylor Shockley, one step sister Addyson Tjarks and one step brother Taven Tjarks all of Glasford, his maternal grandmother April Simon of East Peoria. Also surviving is his Great Grandfather William Harston of Creve Coeur, and his FiancAC. Sabrina VanDyke of East Peoria. His maternal grandfather, Kenneth Simon, whom he looked up to as his father figure and best friend preceded him in death in 2011, as well as his paternal great grandmother Eleanor Harston. Brant was a 2012 graduate of East Peoria Community High School. He was loved by all for his charisma and charm and will be greatly missed and forever loved. For those who knew him, Brant lived life to the fullest, and stayed true to his favorite phrase "elegant simplicity". Cremation Rites have been accorded. The family will receive friends at the Embassy Suites Conference Center in East Peoria on Friday Jan 18th from 6pm until 8pm to celebrate Brant's life. In lieu of flowers, memorials are encouraged in his name to T.A.P.S.
