Carolyn J. Tenbrook

ELMWOOD-Carolyn J. Tenbrook, 84, of Elmwood passed away peacefully Saturday, May 21, 2016 at Heartland Health Care in Peoria. She was born on September 17, 1931 in Champaign, IL daughter of the late Walter and Mary Edith Barnhardt Demlow. Surviving are her children Claris "Skip" (Rose Ann) Tenbrook of Park City, MT; Michele Tenbrook of O'Fallon, MO; and Tom (Norma) Tenbrook of Elmwood, IL. Also surviving are her grandchildren Jess Tenbrook, Jacob Barnard, Nathan and Nicholas Geisler and Samantha Palacios along with one great granddaughter Nia Tenbrook. Further surviving are one brother Walter "Bud" (Phyllis) Demlow Jr. of Normal, IL and one sister Wilma (Bill) Neal of Phoenix, AZ. Five sisters preceded her in death. Carolyn was a member of Crossroads Assembly of God in Elmwood where she volunteered much of her time. Her interests in life included many things but she especially enjoyed painting and drawing. She was an avid NASCAR and Phoenix Suns Basketball fan. Carolyn will be most remembered for being a very kind and compassionate caregiver to all that knew her and will be greatly missed especially by her family. Cremation rites have been accorded. A Memorial Service is scheduled for 10:30am Friday, May 27, 2016 at Crossroads Assembly of God in Elmwood with Pastor Tim Cavallo officiating.
