Christine R. Sansale

Mrs. Christine R. Sansale (Gillespie), 71, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, April 2, 2020 at her home in Marquette Heights, IL surrounded by her family.

She was born on January 16, 1949, in Peoria, IL to Richard "Red" Gillespie and Elizabeth (Betty) Hakes. She was preceded by two siblings her brother Rick Gillespie of Bradford, IL and one sister Maggie Whalen and her husband Pat Whalen of Prescot, AZ.

Surviving are her husband of 35 years Steve Sansale; seven children son Mark Cain (51), daughter Sharon Currier (50), son Joel Cain (49), son Ray Knollenberg (45), daughter Angela Miller (40), son Zachary Sansale (33), and son Bradley Sansale (16); fifteen grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. After retirement in 2009 from IVP Chris spent her time raising her youngest son and spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family, and friends.

Cremation rites have been accorded and a time to celebrate her life will be announced at a later date. Memorials in her name may be given to a charity of the donor's choice.
