Dale A. Strong Jr

Dale A. Strong Jr. 59, of Pekin passed away at 2:13pm Sunday, March 1, 2015 at Unity Point Health-Methodist. He was born on April 29, 1955 in Madison, WI the son of Dale A. and Barbara J. Mitchell Strong Sr. He married Kim Long in Pekin in 1979. Surviving are one son Trent Strong; one daughter Brooke Strong both of Pekin; one brother Chuck Strong of Flint, MI and two sisters Cheryl Todd and Lisa Strong both of Ft. Benton, MT. His parents and one sister, Shelly Fennern, preceded him in death. Dale is also survived by many nieces and nephews from Central Illinois, Montana, and Michigan whom he cared about deeply. In his free time Dale enjoyed spending time outdoors, going to concerts and sporting events with his family, and watching his favorite sports teams - the Illinois Fighting Illini, Chicago Cubs, and Chicago Bears, though Trent claims to have nearly converted him to a Green Bay Packers fan last season. Dale worked for Jim Hawk Trailer as a mechanic for many years. Cremation Rites have been accorded. A celebration of Dale's life will be Saturday, March 14th from 5 - 7pm at Goodfella's in Pekin.
