Danny Joseph Stevens, 69, of 215 Sam J. Stone in Peoria, died on Monday, July 29, 2024, at his home.

He was born on September 30, 1954, in Peoria, IL, to Imogene and I.J. Stevens. He married Karla (Kipfer) Lowe on July 14, 1973. She survives along with their four daughters, Jennifer Fifer, Julie Stevens (Steve), Sarah Stevens (Mark), Amanda Graham (Jason); 14 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren. Also surviving are his sisters, Judy McLemore and Mary Morsh (JP); nieces, Jill Newton (Bob) and Alesha Cox (Phil); and nephew Joe McLemore (Christy). He will also be missed by his dear friends Trish Snow and Bob VanWinkle.

He married Carol Heinz Watson on December 4, 1999. She preceded him in death as well as his father, mother, step-father Kenneth Conrad, brother Jay Stevens and brother-in-law Pete Lowe.

Danny loved the outdoors; camping, biking and walking. He loved to travel the United States. He previously lived in West Palm Beach, FL, Portland, OR and Gulfport, MS. He loved rock n roll music. He worked for the Civic Center for years enabling him to see many great concerts.

He was known by many friends at various taverns in the area as "Skippin' Dan".

There will be a Celebration of Danny's Life on Sunday, August 11, 2024, from 1 to 4pm at the Navy Marine Club Ship #34, 1310 E Seiberling Ave. in Peoria Heights.
