Darlene F. Jones

Darlene F. Jones, 53, of Peoria passed away at 9:16pm Thursday, July 3, 2015 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria. She was born on April 21, 1962 in Fargo, ND the daughter of Roger and Jeanette Francour Geer. She married Michael Jones on March 3, 1982 in Peoria. Surviving are one daughter Stephanie McAvin of Bartonville and one son Michael Timothy Jones of Peoria, her mother of Bartonville, six grand children Jase, Tyler, Gracie, Tegan, Jersie and Sylas. Also surviving are Darlene's siblings Dan (Nancy) Geer and Deb (Rick) Dalton all of Grand Island, NE; Diana (Steve) Lindersmith of Bruining, NE; Donna (Victor) Reed of Chillicothe, IL; and Dave (Janet) Geer of Marquette Heights. Further surviving are Darlene's in-laws Patricia Melloy of Peoria; Jacki (Wayne) Wiebler of Trivoli; James (Dawn) Jones of Peoria; Michele (Randy) Messersmith of Bartonville and Trilla Jones of Peoria Heights along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. Her father and mother-in-law Peggy Jones preceded her in death. She worked previously for Jumer's Castle Lodge in Peoria and most recently at Jim's Family Restaurant in Bartonville. Cremation Rites have been accorded. A Memorial Mass will be held 11am Saturday, July 11, 2015 at St. Ann Catholic Church in Peoria. Fr. Terry Cassidy will celebrate. A private burial will be held at a later date in Glendale Cemetery in Pekin. Should friends desire; memorials in her name may be given to the family, to offset expenses.
