David L. Cooling

David L. Cooling, 63, of Peoria passed away at 7:56am on Sunday, September 14, 2014 at the OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice home in Peoria. He was born on June 1, 1951 in Green Valley the son of Ernest and Iola Martin Cooling. He married Cynthia Levi on October 28, 2003 in Pekin. Surviving are his wife. One adopted daughter Nicole Ramos, one step-son Chris (Heidi) Zeiler and their children Cody, Ava and Andrew; One step daughter Ellen (Steven) Gibson and their children Shannen, Nate, and Matt. He was preceded in death by one infant granddaughter Aubrianna Ramos. He was an honorably discharged US Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam conflict before being discharged in 1971. He worked at Corn Products in Pekin for 11 years. He then moved to Georgia working for the Georgia Department of Corrections in Macon last working in 1997. Cremation Rites have been accorded. Private services will be held at a later date. Memorial in his name may be given to Christian Assembly Church 521 NE Monroe St. Peoria, IL 61603.
