David "Flea" Linder

David L. "Flea" Linder, 62, of Elmwood passed away peacefully at 6:35am Sunday, March 15, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family. Dave was born on December 18, 1952 in Peoria the son of Rufus and Thelma Hardesty Linder. He married Judy Haney on September 23, 1979 in rural Farmington, and she survives. Also surviving are three children, Tracey Linder of Brimfield, twins Kaitlin and Kirsten Linder both of Elmwood. Also surviving are two grandsons Montana Hackman and Mason Magee as well as three brothers James (Nora) Linder of Farmington, Larry (Rhonda) Linder and Randy (Elizabeth) Linder both of Yates City and one sister Vivian (William) Riley of Canton. His parents and one sister Connie Linder preceded him in death. Dave was an honorably discharged U.S. Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam Conflict. He worked as an auto body repair technician for many years. He later worked for Merrick's Floor Covering for several years. Dave had many enjoyments in life including watching drag racing, fishing but particularly enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and will be greatly missed by all. Cremation rites have been accorded. A time to celebrate Dave's life will be at a later date. Memorials in his name may be given to Graham Hospital Hospice.
