Donald E. Reed

Donald E. Reed, 85, of Lacon passed away peacefully at 4:55am Thursday, October 3, 2013 at St. Joseph Home in Lacon. Don was born on June 25, 1928 in Sparland the son of Lee and Pearl Swanson Reed. He married Sharon Mattice on April 2, 1982 in Peoria. Surviving is his wife of Lacon, one daughter Lynn (Elmer Strong) Morton also of Lacon. Also surviving is sister Regina (Harold) Campbell of Peoria as well as several nieces and nephews. His parents, one brother Dale, and one sister-n-law Nellie preceded him in death. He was the owner of Don Reed TV in Chillicothe for many years. Don was a charter member of the Arrowhead Country Club in Chillicothe. Cremation rites have been accorded and there will be no services.
