Donna J. Epley

Donna C. Epley, 81, of Peoria passed away peacefully on December 24, 2014 at Morton Villa Care Center in Morton.

She was born on June 8, 1933 in Peoria the daughter to Perry and Viola Knaggs Bailey. She married Louis W. Epley on August 7, 1951 in Pekin. He passed away on October 3, 1999.

Surviving are three children Sandy (Terry) Malone of Peoria, William (Cheryl Owen) Epley of Creve Coeur and Carol (Jim) Myers of Mesa, AZ. Also surviving is her special friend and companion Bill Roderick of East Peoria; 10 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren as well as one sister Judith Perry of Bloomington. Her parents, two sons Steve and Robert as well as four brothers preceded her in death.

She was a grocery clerk for 20 years at several stores in the Peoria area. She later worked for Pabst Brewery for six years until their closing. She was a member of Retail Clerks Union #536, and the Pinochle Club at the Miller Center in Pekin. She was of the Methodist Faith. She had many enjoyments in life including playing cards and traveling but particularly enjoyed spending time with her family.

Honoring Donna's wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. Graveside services will be held 10am Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Chillicothe City Cemetery. Memorials in her name may be given to the Alzheimer's Association-Central Illinois Chapter.
