Dorland F. Clark

Dorland F. Clark passed away on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 in Peoria. He was 88 years old. Dorland was born on March 18, 1929 in Martinsville, MO to Cleo and Irene Clark. He married Elizabeth Thompson in Depue, IL on November 26, 1953. He is survived by his wife Elizabeth; children Donna and Daniel; and sister Dorlene Martin.

Dorland served in the Coast Guard and then joined the Army where he was stationed in Korea during the Korean Conflict. After an honorable discharge, he went to work at Caterpillar Tractor Company where he worked for 37 years until his retirement. After retiring, he and Elizabeth traveled every winter pulling a fifth-wheel trailer.

Dorland was a long-time member of the Masons. He was a die-hard Cardinals fan and enjoyed watching NASCAR, football, and basketball. He was very handy and could fix almost anything mechanical. He was always ready to help friends and neighbors with projects. He was a good man, a good husband, and a good father. He will be deeply missed.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A Memorial Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until 11:00 am on Monday, October 2, 2017 at Mason Funeral Home Germantown Hills Chapel, 375 Old Germantown Road, Germantown Hills.
