Obituary
Dorothy Lorraine Meeks, 103, of Canton formerly of Washington passed away at Heartland Healthcare in Canton, August 24, 2014 surrounded by her family.
She was born in Macomb, Illinois on May 4th, 1911 to Jack White and Elizabeth Ratekin-White. Two sons, Gerald Keith Meeks, and David Norman Meeks preceded her in death.
Surviving is her daughter Marilyn Schlosser of Washington, Illinois, along with 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 8 great, great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews she was close with.
Dorothy was a loving mother and grandmother who was loved by all, and will be missed dearly. Dorothy was a wealth of knowledge for all that she lived through, and she remembered it all up to the day of her passing.
Cremation rites have been accorded and graveside services will be 11:30am Tuesday, September 2nd 2014 at Oakwood Cemetery in Macomb, IL. Family will gather after the services for a time of fellowship.
