Douglas Joseph Howard, 76, of Peoria, IL, passed away peacefully at 7:06 am on Saturday, May 30, 2026 at his home.

He was born on May 1, 1950, in Topeka, KS, to John and Bea (Bedord) Howard. He married Katheryn Howard.

He is survived by his children, Melinda Riley, Chris (Brandy) Riley, Tara (Oscar) Lopez, Joseph Howard, and Brian Sandy; fourteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Mike (Belinda) Howard and Jeff (Lyn) Howard.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Katheryn Howard, and son, Anthony Howard.

Douglas worked as a Union Ironworker throughout the United States before retiring in Illinois. He enjoyed riding his Harley and spending time with his family, friends, and Union brothers and sisters.
