Elizabeth "Betty" Katherine Kemmer, 83, of Peoria, IL, passed away on December 23, 2019, at Heritage Health in Chillicothe, IL.  She was born March 3, 1936, in Peoria, IL, to Bernard and Veronica (Cullen) Kemmer.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters Mary Buehler, Josephine Rock, Patricia Waibel, Mildred Kidd, and Rita Swanson.  She is survived by her brother, William (Norma) Kemmer, and her sister, Roberta "Bobbie" (Kemmer) Elder.

She grew up attending St. Mary's Cathedral in Peoria,  and as an adult was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church in Peoria,   She always had a joy for life and enjoyed singing and dancing.  She also loved being in the company of her many nieces and nephews and is fondly remembered for taking them on their first bus ride and giving $2.00 bills in Christmas cards.

Cremation rites have been accorded A Memorial Mass will be held 10:00 a.m., Monday, December 30, 2019,  at St. Vincent De Paul Church in 6001 N University St. in Peoria, with burial immediately following at St. Joseph's Cemetery in West Peoria, IL.  Memorial donations should be made to the St. Vincent De Paul Society c/o St. Vincent De Paul Church, 6001 N University St. Peoria, IL 61614.
