Emily Maccarone was born on October 21, 1999, in Peoria, Illinois, and from a young age, she was known for her intelligence, kindness, and beautiful personality all around.
Emily grew up in Brimfield, Illinois, graduating from Brimfield High School class of 2018. At the age of 18, Emily moved to Westminster, Maryland, where she began to build a life that would leave a lasting impact. Emily earned her Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education in 2024, graduating Magna Cum Laude from Notre Dame Maryland University. It was in Maryland where she married her husband, Dominic Maccarone, in April 2024. During her time there, Emily adopted her beloved dog, Caesar, and formed countless friendships that became her second family. Maryland held a special place in her heart-it was where she worked as a substitute teacher while attending college and made great memories and experiences.
At the age of 24, Emily moved back to Brimfield, IL. She was excited to be closer to family and to student teach at Brimfield Grade School. No matter where she was, Emily lived life with contagious joy and positivity.
Emily loved the simple, beautiful things in life: sunflowers, crafts, coloring, and cozy movie nights with her husband and pets. She cherished playing with her dog, Caesar, and enjoyed the small adventures of Target trips or going out and making new friends. Her warmth, happiness, and generosity made everyone feel valued and loved. Emily was a bright light in the lives of those who knew her. Emily took great pride in being a friend that could be counted on, that listened and helped people feel better, and made an everlasting impact on everyone she touched. Her kind soul and sweet nature made Emily such a special person to so many.
She is survived by her husband, Dominic Maccarone; parents, JulieAnne and Scott Baker; siblings, Jack and Ashley Baker; Grandmother, Rena Thorne, Grandparents, Vernon and Amy Baldovvin; cousins Nick Snider and Sydney Dobyns; and many dear friends. She is also lovingly remembered by her dog, Caesar.
