Eugene Debis

Eugene F. Debis, 95, of Peoria passed away at 5pm Friday July 8t8h 2011 at Bel-Wood Nursing Home in Peoria. He was born on July 31, 1915 in Peoria the son of Frederick and Wilhemina Schmitt Debis. He married Clara B. Malchow on April 17, 1949 in Peoria. She passed away on Sept 8, 1993. Two brothers also preceded him in death. Surviving are his daughter Carol Debis-Harrell of Santa Rosa, CA and her children Amanda (Ray) Garcia and Jeff (Michelle) Harrell. One son Steve and (Marcy) Debis of Elmwood and their children Steven Jr. and Jessica Debis. One sister in law Elaine Debis and close friends Jim and Margo Kelly also survive. An honorably discharged WWII U.S. Army Veteran. He worked in several industries in Peoria for several years he then worked as a hair dresser for Bergner's for several years and then became self employed for many years owning Eugene's Hair Dressing Salon in Peoria. He was a life member of Christ Lutheran Church in Peoria. Cremation rites have been accorded with no services scheduled. Burial of his remains will be at Green Acres Cemetery in Scottsdale AZ at a later date. Memorials may be given in his name to Bel-Wood Nursing Home.
