Evelyn Roach

Mary Evelyn Roach, 97, of Peoria, passed away at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at home. She was born November 3, 1915, in Peoria, IL to Robert Emmett and Marie Patricia (Sipes) Roche. She was preceeded in death by her parents, two brothers and one daughter, Sharon Roach. Surviving are one son, Dr. Carl James (Barbara) Roach of Lake Zurich, IL and one daughter, Judona Marie Samuel of Peoria; four grandchildren, Kathy Welsh of Peoria, Michael Roach of Boston, Mass., Sharli Samuel of Peoria, and Ryan (Kristen) Roach of Arlington Heights, IL; and two great-grandchildren, Rachael Welsh of Peoria and Rosslyn Roach of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Evelyn was a Radiology Technologist and Nuclear Medicine Technologist. She worked at St. Francis Hospital and Caterpillar. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. She was a Rosminian Ascribed. A memorial mass will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 8, 2013 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Peoria, with Fr. Paul Stiene officiating. There will be no visitation. Cremation rites have been accorded. Burial will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery at a later date. Notes of condolences for the family may be sent using www.peoriafuneral.com.
