Florian Dewey Senti, age 89, of Peoria Heights, Illinois passed away at 4:10am on Tuesday morning at the Heartland Nursing Home. He was born on October 7, 1923 to Arthur "Art" Senti and Iona Strickler. He married Patricia Addis. She preceded him in death on December 8, 1998. Dewey is survived by his sons, Vernon, Steven, and Scott; three grandchildren, Shawn, Tonya, and Emily; and great grandson, Christopher. He retired from International Paper in 1991. He was a decorated World War II veteran - receiving the Purple Heart and Bronze Star, among other medals. Dewey was an avid sportsman and a Cubs fan. Florian donated his remains to Life Legacy Foundation for anatomical studies. The family will receive friends at his son Scott's home, 5708 Terrace Court #1 Peoria Heights, on Saturday May 18th from 3pm to 6pm to celebrate his life. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Peoria.
