Frances A. "Fran" Hogbin, 77, of Roanoke, passed away at 1:17 a.m., Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at Proctor Hospital in Peoria. Fran was born on June 17, 1934 in Peoria to Vergil and Marjorie Doan Crider. She married Theodore D. "Ted" Hogbin in Eureka on June 7, 1952. Ted survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Denise (Paul) Novak of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania and Kathleen (Gary) Putnam of Buckley, IL; a daughter-in-law, Ellen Hogbin of Moline; one sister, Mary Mendelsohn of Lincoln, Nebraska; four grandchildren and two great granddaughters. Two children, David and Jennifer, preceded her in death. Prior to her retirement Fran had worked as an administrative assistant for Black and Decker. She also had been active in the Roanoke Home Extension Club. A memorial service for Fran will be held at the Eureka Christian Church on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at 2:30 p.m. with burial of ashes in Olio Township Cemetery at a later date.
