Frances L. Robinson, 92, of Peoria, IL passed away on December 6, 2015 at Christian Buehler Home. She was born December 16, 1922 in Peoria to Minnie Lord and Locke Harmon Spears. She married Omar K. (Bob) Robinson at St. Mary's Cathedral in Peoria on February 7, 1942. He preceded her in death along with her parents, two brothers, three sisters, son-in-law Wayne Peplow and daughter-in-law Sharon Robinson. She is survived by her five children, daughters: Kathleen Robinson (Sandy Magurany) of Edwardsville, IL, Jane Peplow of Clinton, TN, and sons: Robert (Carol) Robinson of Berwyn, PA, James Robinson (Judy Malone) of Peoria, IL, and Thomas Robinson (Karen Pursell) of Bloomington, IL. Also surviving are her eight grandchildren: Julie (Robert) McMann of West Jordan, UT, Douglas (Melissa) Peplow of Oak Ridge, TN, Andrew (Amber) Peplow of Milford, OH, Jennifer (Benjamin) Atlee of Denver, CO, Kathryn (Todd) Martin of Shelbyville, KY, Ellen (Jeffrey) Gunder of Perkiomenville, PA, Terry Robinson (Josh Milstein) of Mississauga, Ontario, Canada and Steven (Jaimee) Robinson of Ashburn, VA. She also leaves behind 19 great-grand children. Frances was an exemplary homemaker, mother and wife. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and canning fruits and vegetables. She was also a dressmaker extraordinaire, running her own business out of her home. On a daily basis she dedicated time to playing the piano. She also participated in bridge and pinochle groups for many years and was a long time member of St. Mark's Catholic Church. She served as a role model for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren lovingly called her Gram. Her children were privileged to be able to call her Mom. Cremation will be accorded. A private family service will be held at a later date.
