Francis Joseph Garvey, age 85 of Peoria passed away on November 24, 2014, at the OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria. He was born on Feb 2nd, 1929, in LaCrosse, WI, to Thomas and Elizabeth (Coughlin) Garvey. They preceded him in death, along with his brother, Thomas Garvey, sisters, Madonna and Anna Marie, and wife, Mary Judeen (Judy) (Kane) Garvey. Survivors include his sister Julita Bryce, 98, children Thomas and Eve Garvey and Greg and Anne Hnilicka, grandchildren, Anthony and Kayla Hnilicka and Gabrielle and Shane Garvey, and great-grandson, Reese Hnilicka, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He made friends wherever he went and had fans both in Peoria and Lake Worth, Florida. Frank worked at Proctor Hospital as a billing manager for many years before he retired. He was an avid bowler and worked for Mount Hawley Bowling Alley earning coffee and bowling for life but not before bowling a 300 game! Cremation rites have been accorded. Frank and Judy's ashes will be buried at the VA cemetery in Lake Worth, Florida. Donations in Frank Garvey's name may be made to OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.
