Fred M. Evans

Fred M. Evans, 85, of Peoria, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at 9:07pm, Sunday, September 13, 2015. Fred was born January 1, 1930, in New Albany, MS to the late "Ches" and Onnie Evans. He married Glenda Allen on August 3, 1980. Fred leaves to cherish his most precious memories to his loving wife of thirty-five years. To their union they had one daughter, Misty (Lonnie) Beasley and two grandchildren, Jalen Evans and Lonna Beasley. Also surviving are 4 sons; Doug (Linda), Lawrence, Fred (Cathy), and Nate (Lois) Evans; 4 stepsons; Thomas (Tamara), Timothy (Julia), Tyson, and Tyrin (Matou) Wilson; one godson; Clifford (Debra) Ware; 22 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; Palmer, Roscoe, and Charles Evans; one sister; Hazel Leaper Fred was an active member of Peoria Friendship Missionary Baptist Church from 1977 through the time of his illness. He retired from Pabst Blue Ribbon in 1981. He also was a member of the Peter H. Clark, Elks Lodge #483. Fred will be forever remembered for his kind heart and his love for others. Memorial services will be 1pm Saturday, September 19, 2015 at Peoria Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. The Rev. Dr. Claude Russell will officiate. Private burial will be at Lakeview Cemetery in Carrier Mills, IL.
