Gary "Jake" A.R. Reeder, 35, of East Peoria IL, passed away on March 15, 2025, at home with his wife by his side.

He is survived by his wife, Danielle Reeder (Toth), Mother Stacie Taylor Sister Christa Ferguson& Husband (Brandon) Brother Dre Douglas, Sister-In-Law Cheyenne Patterson; Half-Sister & Brother Natalie & Nathan Reeder; Nieces Keelii, Mariah, Rowen, Da'shai, Kyai, Layla, Sadie, Jaycee, Aleigha, Kinsley, and Brinley; Nephews Lil Dre, Zayden, Brendon, Da'Sean, Daxton, Finley

He was preceded in death by his father, Willard Taylor; sister, Brittany Douglas; aunt, Rachel Andrews; great-grandparents, Phyllis and Louis Smith; grandpa, Danny Evens; grandmother, Zeda Elliott; and grandma, Patti Brooks.

Gary, known to his friends as Jake, was a master of his craft, as a concrete finisher. His passion for his work was evident in every smooth surface he left behind a testament to his meticulous nature and strong work ethic.

He dedicated many years to the city of Peoria, where he worked with Jimax. Jake's larger-than-life personality was matched only by his heart of gold. He had the remarkable ability to light up any room with his infectious smile and was always the source of laughter and joy for those around him.

His generosity knew no bounds; he was the kind of man who would offer a helping hand without a second thought, embodying the true spirit of community and friendship.

Family was the cornerstone of Jake's life, and he cherished every moment spent with his nieces and nephews. He embraced every opportunity to be a part of their lives, sharing in their joys and milestones. His love for his family extended to his LiL brother, with whom he shared countless hours shooting hoops, forging an unbreakable bond through their shared love of the game.

An avid lover of the great outdoors, Jake found solace and excitement in nature. His adventurous spirit led him to embrace activities such as camping, fishing, dirt bike riding, four-wheeling, and boating. He was an all-around outdoorsman, happiest when surrounded by the beauty of the natural world.

Jake lived a life full of passion, laughter, and love. His legacy is one of joy, kindness, and an unwavering zest for life that will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him.

He loved hanging out with his best friend Gordon playing Frisby golf. He spent every day calling his mom to check up on her. He spent the last 7 Years with his wife Danielle who he had so much love for, and they brought so such joy to each other's life.
