Gay Rose

Gay Lynn Rose, 64, of Peoria passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at Unity Point Proctor Hospital in Peoria. She was born on May 23, 1949 in Peoria the daughter of the late John A. and Gertrude L. (Blair) Rose. Two sisters, Jan (Rose) Sabey and Bobbette Rose, two brothers, Ron Rose and David Rose, survive her. Also surviving is one nephew, two nieces, three great- nieces and three great-nephews. She was a 1967 graduate of Peoria High School. She was actively involved with the Columbia Terrace Neighborhood Assoc. She had served on the Peoria Zoning Commission and the Illinois Heartland Emmaus Board. Most recently she was employed by WalMart. Cremation Rites have been accorded with a private burial. A public memorial service will be held 1pm Saturday, March 29 at Bradley Epworth United Methodist Church in Peoria.
