Geraldine A. Hedden

Geraldine A. Hedden, 80, of Peoria Heights, passed away peacefully at 8:01am on Friday, March 6, 2015 at the home of her daughter, Tammie. She was born on November 17, 1934 in Bath, ME. The daughter of Scott R. and Gladys M. Pearson Pearson. Surviving are her children Bruce Hedden of Peoria, IL; Roy "Chip" T. Hedden Jr.; Jody Kats and Tammie (Darryl) McGhee both of Peoria Heights. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. 14 brothers and sisters preceded her in death. Born in Maine, she relocated to the Peoria area where she lived the majority of her life. After working for various employers she retired from Ray's Patio Inn in December 2004 after 21 years. During the prime years of her life she enjoyed bowling and was an avid bowler. She loved playing the slots, online games and watching TV game shows with Wheel of Fortune being her favorite. Some of her favorite online games were Candy Crush, Cookie Jam, and Panda Pop. She took great pleasure in supervising her Daughter and Son-in-law in doing lawn and garden projects. She will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to share in her life including her favorite pet Heidi. Cremation rites have been accorded. A time to celebrate her life will be Friday, March 13, 2015 at Tammie's home, 4108 N. Illinois Ave in Peoria Heights from 5pm until 7pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name may be given to OSF Hospice.
