Helen (Patton) Seaman

Helen Seaman, 81, of Peoria, IL, passed away on April 18, 2022 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

She was born to parents York Patton Sr. and Ruth Patton on September 27, 1940, in Mancelona, MI.

Helen's favorite job title was wife and mother. She went to school and became an accomplished hair dresser for many years. Another fulfilling job that she enjoyed was assisting children and adults with disabilities at a local center in Peoria.

She was an avid reader and loved to knit. Helen made winter hats and gave them away to friends, family and local charities.

Helen met George Seaman in 1955 and were married on March 30, 1957, in Madison Heights, MI. Together they raised four children, Greg Seaman, David Seaman, Karen (Rod) Karmenzind, and Gene (Kaitlin) Seaman; and was also able to enjoy eight wonderful grandchildren. Helen had a busy childhood with nine loving brothers and sisters.

At the request of Helen, cremation was accorded and the interment of her remains will be with close family early this Summer.
