Ivan Nordwall

Ivan J. Nordwall, 90, of Chillicothe passed away on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at Heritage Healthcare in Chillicothe. He was born on May 3, 1924 son of the late Albert and Lois Hamilton Nordwall in rural Princeville, IL. He is survived by three children Kathy, John and Dan all of California, one brother Glen Nordwall of Dunlap, stepdaughter, Sandy Levell and her children Tamara Ladd and Scott Crawford all of Chillicothe as well as several other step children and step grandchildren. Further surviving are several niece and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Betty, four sisters and five brothers. Ivan was a WWII U.S. Army combat Veteran and a fought in the Battle of the Bulge. After his retirement from Caterpillar Tractor Co,.he sold fruit and vegetables in Chillicothe until his passing. Honoring his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. A time to celebrate his life will begin at 10am and continue until 11am on Saturday, October 11, 2014 at the VFW Hall, 1729 N.
