Jack E. Kear, 87 of Princeville passed away Sunday, December 30, 2018 at Toulon Rehab and Health Care Center.

He was born on December 28, 1931 in Sparland, IL the son of McKinley and Anna (Crew) Kear. He married Dorothy Veronica Eckley on March 11, 1953 in Princeville and she passed on February 7, 2010. He was also preceded in death by 7 brothers and 3 sisters.

Jack is survived by one son William (Karen) Kear of Edelstein, two daughters, Dona Tucker of West Cliff, CO and Lucinda (JB) Magnussen of Princeville. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.

A Korean War Army Veteran, Jack worked for Lee Graves Chevrolet in Princeville, later he was self-employed as a carpenter. He was a member of St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church in Princeville.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A Memorial Mass will be 10:00 am, Saturday, January 12, 2019 at St Mary of the Woods Catholic Church in Princeville. A private graveside service will follow at St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Cemetery in Princeville. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St Jude's Children's Hospital.
