Jack Lillie

Jack N. Lillie, 88, of Sunnyland passed away peacefully at 12:20pm Monday August 13, 2012 at Rosewood Care Center in East Peoria. He was born on July 11, 1924 in El Reno, OK the son of Walter and Fay Ligett Lillie. He married Hellon Tockey on April 22, 1947 in Los Angeles, CA. She passed away on November 23, 2010. One brother and sister preceded him in death. Surviving is one son James N. (Lynn) Lillie of Chatham, IL and twin daughters Lauretta (Don) Leichty of New Smyrna, FL; and Loretta (Tim) Shinall of Washington, IL. He has four grandchildren, three step grandchildren and several great grandchildren also surviving. Jack gave his heart to the Lord at an early age. He was an avid guitar player and enjoyed singing gospel music in church. He was also interested in photography and woodworking. Cremation rites have been accorded with a memorial service for 6:30 Thursday Aug. 23rd 2012 at Sunnyland Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Randy Lingenfelter officiating. In Lieu of flowers memorials may be given in his name to Sunnyland Church of the Nazarene, 201 N. Summit Dr. Washington, IL 61571.
