James M. Ulrich

James Michael "Mike" Ulrich passed into his heavenly father's arms on April 2, 2016. Mike was born July 28, 1947 in Peoria. The son of Clayton J. "Jim" and Ruth L. Reeb Ulrich. Surviving are his parents of Eureka; two sons Jeffery (Cassandra) Ulrich of Secor and Douglas (Trista) Ulrich of Eureka. Also surviving is one sister, Peggy (Norm) LaFary of Green Valley. Mike had 9 grandchildren along with several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. One brother, Bob Ulrich and one daughter, Teresa Ulrich Woods preceded him in death. Mike graduated from Eureka High School, after which he was involved in selective service in Fort Wayne, Indiana. In the past Mike worked in masonry and trucking, including driving for Pensky. Mike enjoyed volunteering at Maple Lawn Homes in the meals on wheels program and also helping wheelchair bound residents to church. He loved music, especially playing his banjo. Mike will be greatly missed. Cremation Rites have been accorded. A Memorial service will be held 2pm, Saturday, April 23, 2016 at Roanoke Mennonite Church. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Roanoke Mennonite Church, Faith Baptist Temple or Maple Lawn Homes.
