James Vance

James M. Vance, 83, of East Peoria, IL passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at his residence.

He was born on August 4, 1941, in Peoria, IL the son of Charles and Helen Wallace Vance.

Surviving are his children; Teri Cline of Sandwich, IL; Jill (Leo) Bouchez of Delavan, IL; Jim (Tina) Vance of East Peoria, IL and Krista (Jeff) Ayers of Lebanon, TN.  Also surviving are 13 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one grandson Joshua Ayers and two sisters Barbara Schwind and Ethel Mae Wise.

Jim devoted an impressive 40 years to Caterpillar Tractor Co., where he made significant contributions in his final role in marketing. His remarkable journey culminated in a well-deserved retirement in 1999, leaving behind a legacy of excellence and dedication.
