Janette Kleffman, 64, of Marquette Heights, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2024.

She was born on July 2, 1960, to her loving parents, Barb Lyons and Jerry Lyons. She was an incredibly loving mother of her two sons, Jon and Alex Kleffman; warm hearted and dedicated wife to Josef Kleffman; and grandmother of Breck Kleffman and Elle Hackward.

She worked at the Peoria County Courthouse for 17 years and was known by everyone as the beacon of happiness, who loved everyone she worked with.

Jan and Josef loved their family and loved to leave town for the weekend to go explore places they had never been before. They enjoyed going to their favorite restaurants. They also found great joy in going to both their sons' sporting events and always showing support. She was passionate about researching her family heritage and knowing everything there was to know about her ancestors. She was an avid reader of Stephen King and a massive Chicago Cubs fan. She watched every game, every year, if she couldn't attend. She took great pride in being a wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a through and through animal lover. She always had dogs and loved them.

She will be so emphatically missed by everyone who knew her for the way that she loved and supported them. She was a light in this world that made people smile. Her love persists through forever and she will be forever remembered as the most incredible person to know.

There will be a memorial visitation from 1 until 2 p.m. on Saturday,  August 31, 2024,  at Our Saviors Lutheran Church, 1209 Kingsbury Road, Washington, Illinois 61571. Cremation rites have been accorded.
