PEORIA - Janine Karen Persefield (Cross), age 61, passed away on March 24, 2026. Born on February 24, 1965, Janine was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Janine had a joyful spirit and a passion for the simple things in life. She loved to sing and could often be found with music in her heart. She was also a talented crocheter, creating meaningful pieces for those she loved. A devoted fan of El-vis Presley, Janine found great happiness in his music and was known for her enthusiasm and admiration.

She was preceded in death by her father, Johnny Cross Sr.

Janine is survived by her loving mother, Judy Cross; her sister, Jennifer VanQuakebeke; her brother, Johnny Cross Jr. (Amy); and her step-daughter, Savannah Persefield. She also leaves behind her cherished nieces, Cheyenne (Tyler) Townsend, Elisabeth (David) Anderson, and Gra-cie VanQuakebeke; and her nephews, Dakoda (Emiley) VanQuakebeke and Jake VanQuake-beke. Janine was also a proud great-aunt to four great-nephews and one great-niece.

Janine will be remembered for her warm heart, her love of music, and the joy she brought to those around her. Her memory will live on in the lives she touched and the love she shared.
