Jill A. (Petermeyer) Coats

Jill A. Coats, 45, of Peoria, went to her heavenly home on Tuesday, September 21, 2021, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

Jill was born on May 23, 1976, in Peoria, the daughter of Andrew and Joan (Meginnes) Petermeyer. She married Christopher R. Coats on September 21, 1996, in Bartonville. He survives, as does her beloved son, Andrew.

Her memory is cherished by her parents, Andy & Joan; brother, James Bodine; sister-in-law, Charissa Green; nephew, Owen Green; and her in-laws, Darrell and Karen Coats.

Jill was preceded in death by her brother, Joey Bodine; her maternal and paternal grandparents; and her beloved niece, Katie Bodine.

She worked at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria for 24 years as an executive assistant. She loved to spend time with her family and friends. She was a great listener and made everyone feel like family. Jill often joked that cooking was her love language. She loved purple flowers most of all and found enjoyment in tending her flower garden and crafting, especially hand-made cards. Her dogs Apollo and Tanner brought her great joy.

An open-house style Celebration of Jill's life will be at Timberlake Country Club, Sunday, October 3, from 2 - 5pm, with a special time of sharing beginning at 3:30pm.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Fulton County.
